International Pop Star Charice Pempengco denied that she will be seen on Glee. Her official twitter account said,”I just want to let you all know, that it’s not true that I’m going to be on Glee”.

According to Inquirer.net:

Her Philippine manager, Grace Mendoza, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer Entertainment that Pempengco was joining the show, which won the 2010 Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series Musical or Comedy.

“Yes, it’s true, Charice will soon join ‘Glee,’ Mendoza said.

“And not just as a guest, but as part of the cast in a new season,” she said.

But Pempengco countered, “How I wish! Haha.”

“Maybe she is just confused,” she added, referring to Mendoza’s announcement.

The internet sensation, Dancing Inmate from Cebu, will soon be appearing on DVD and Blu-Ray copies of Michael Jackson’s This is It. Long time dance instructor of Michael Jackson, Travis Payne was in Cebu last January 17 to choreograph the inmates to perform “They Don’t Really Care About Us” very much similar to the This is It version.

Payne said that it was but fitting to include a special dance number from the now world-renowned Cebu inmates for the special “This Is It” DVD launch.

Payne was accompanied by Michael Jackson’s backup dancers Daniel Celebre and Dres Reid.

Sorry if I wasn’t able to update my blog the past week as I have been very busy helping my aunt, her family, and their barangay. My Aunt lost her house last September 26, 2009 due to Typhoon Ondoy, and so do most of her neighbors.

September 26, 2009 is the worst day of my life.

September 26, 2009

11:00am

My tita called for help since flood waters have entered their house in Barangay Sta. Lucia – Novaliches, Quezon City and was already knee deep. I immediately went there with my godfather. Normally, travel time is only 30 minutes, but that day, it took us more than 1 hour.

12:30pm

When we arrived, flood inside my aunt’s house was already neck deep. I told my cousins, nephews and nieces to run (or swim) for the car as the water is rising very fast. In a matter of minutes, their house was gone.

1:00pm

People are already swimming everywhere and you can see panic. I wanted to help them but our Everest is full and all we can do is watch them flee their homes. Most of the streets were already flooded and impassable for small cars, so when I saw a street that’s waist deep, I drove our SUV and prayed that we get to the other side.

2:45pm

We managed to get out of Barangay Sta. Lucia, but most of Quirino Highway were also flooded. I brought my cousins and their kids to my grandmother’s house at the back of ABC-5 since roads to our subdivision were flooded.

3:30pm

I called my youngest sister and informed her that we cannot go home. I was shocked when she told me that flood waters have also engulfed more than half of our subdivision and water was already inside our garage. She and Mocha were alone at home. I wanted to go home but roads to our subdivision are all impassable, even to rubber boats as the currents were very strong.

I told my sister to get all the important documents and give it to our neighbor in case water enters our home. I was checking them every 20mins. I can’t sleep and eat that day because the rain won’t stop.

Me and my cousins went to our house first thing in the morning. We’re all shocked to see the damage Ondoy has brought to our subdivision. Damage to our subdivision was nothing compared to what happened to my cousins’ home at Barangay Sta. Lucia in Novaliches. Their house was completely destroyed by Ondoy, and so do most of their neighbors.

I guess we’re still lucky since no one got hurt.

Up to this day, aunt’s family is living with us. Most of the residents of Sta. Lucia are seeking shelter at the evacuation center since they have no more homes to return to.

GAMEOPS DONATION DRIVE

My GameOPS family saw what happened to that Barangay. They all wanted to help everyone, but they can’t. Glen, Rocky, Jepoy and Mark decided to focus aid on Barangay Sta. Lucia since there are other places that have far worse conditions compared to Sta. Lucia.

People on this barangay lost not just their homes, but their livelihoods as well. Some even lost their lives. Let’s all help them stand up and start a new life. I know our efforts are just temporary but it’s still a start.

We’re targeting at least US$500 so we can purchase food, water and medical supplies. We’re also accepting used clothing, canned goods (preferably those ready to eat), medicines (for: fever, diarrhea, cough, colds, fungal infections, etc.), and personal hygiene (soap, shampoo, sanitary napkins, toothpaste, toothbrushes, underwear, footwear, cleaning supplies).

Barangay Sta. Lucia – Novaliches, Quezon City After Ondoy

Getting a pair of jeans is not as easy as choosing between the colors or design. One must first consider the body type and how you should wear it the right way to show your best assets.

I have found some pointers on picking the perfect denim for you depending on your body type:

Athletic - A muscular, often square shape with wider shoulders

• Skinny, straight fit, and low-rise cuts will help make your hips look larger.
• Whiskered light wash jeans will give the illusion of curves and volume.
• Flap pockets with embellishments will add more bulk to the butt area and make it look fuller.

Inverted Triangle - You have broad shoulders and narrow hips

• Wide leg or straight cut denim balance the upper body. Stay away from slim cuts and stick to regular waisted jeans.
• Look for denims that have embellished pockets in the front and back areas.
• Side pockets will make you look more shapely and sexier.

Pear - Full hips and thighs and a smaller waist

• Boot cut and straight cut jeans are best for you, but they should be dark wash. Low-rise jeans are also a must!
• Too much fading, whiskering, and distressing will just widen your shape.
• Stay away from patch and detailed pockets.

Hourglass – Curves, curves, curves! You have a small waist and equal hip and bust measurements.

• Boot cut and flares will balance out curves in your body. High-waisted jeans can draw attention to your small waist.
• Look for darker washes as they create the illusion of length.
• Stretch denim is a must!

Missing Willie Revillame on ABS-CBN’s noontime Wowowee? Then you might have to wait a little more as ABS-CBN released a statement stating the date of “Papi’s” leave until September 20, 2009.

In the interest of self-regulation, ABS-CBN has availed of the conciliation process under Section 6, Rule 7, of the MTRCB Rules of Procedures, regarding the incidents involving Mr. Willie Revillame in the Program Wowowee. After having considered the facts, issues and terms of self-regulation to be imposed in the pertinent cases, the MTRCB has approved the same.

WHEREOF, the ABS-CBN shall undertake to perform the following:

1. Extend Mr. Revillame’s leave until 20 September 2009, and
2. Remove the present dance segment of Luningning and Saicy.

FURTHER, ABS-CBN reiterates that it is fully aware of its legal and moral responsibilities as a broadcaster and shall undertake to continue to uphold the values and customs of the Filipino viewing public.

To physically prepare for Survivor Philippines Palau, Justine enhanced her skills by enrolling in a swim school, but most of all she invested on a lot of rest and vitamins.

She has also prepared emotionally for the experiences ahead of her on the island.

“Alam ko na ang buhay sa isla ay unusual, puwede kang masaktan, masugatan at magutom kaya inihanda ko na ang sarili ko,”Justine said.

Justine believes that her “uniqueness” is the key for her to become a Castaway.

“I think I was chosen because they are curious about what’s really inside of me and my behavior,” Justine said.
